A tragic family incident has shaken the Hot Springs, Arkansas community after authorities say Terrance Parker, 21, was arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder in connection with the fatal stabbing deaths of his grandparents, Evelyn Parker, 73, and Thedrit Parker, 75, on Tuesday evening.

According to the Hot Springs Police Department, officers responded to a disturbance call at 106 Idlewood Street at approximately 7:58 p.m. on July 7.
Evelyn Parker was found suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was rushed to a local hospital but later died from her injuries.
Inside the home, officers discovered Thedrit Parker unresponsive with multiple knife wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators allege that Terrance Parker attacked both grandparents before fleeing. At approximately 8:21 p.m., officers located him at a Regions Bank on Malvern Avenue and took him into custody without incident. He was booked into the Garland County Detention Center on two counts of capital murder.
