Evelyn and Thedrit Parker Obituary, Cause of Death – Hot Springs Community Mourns

The Hot Springs, Arkansas community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Evelyn Parker, 73, and Thedrit Parker, 75, whose lives were tragically cut short in a violent incident that has left family members, friends, and neighbors in shock.

The Incident

According to the Hot Springs Police Department, officers responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Idlewood Street at approximately 7:58 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7.

Evelyn Parker was found suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite emergency efforts, she later succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.
Inside the home, officers discovered her husband, Thedrit Parker, unresponsive with multiple knife wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators allege that the couple’s 21-year-old grandson, Terrance Parker, attacked both grandparents before fleeing. He was located at a Regions Bank on Malvern Avenue about 20 minutes later and taken into custody without incident. He has since been charged with two counts of capital murder and is being held at the Garland County Detention Center.
